a love letter

21 Dec

Dear students of early Canadian literature,

The Natives indigenous to Canada have not been obliterated by  “the white man.” (On a side note: why only in this class do you refer to Caucasians, male and female, by this name?) This may come as a surprise, but our country still holds a Native population. More importantly, please know that many Natives, like all races, inhabit urban areas and do not solely exist in the wilderness being “one with nature,” as you like to say.

Happy Holidays,

your favourite t.a.
